Thank you for your interest in fostering a homeless animal. The BSPCA does not run a shelter or sanctuary and have no facility where we house our pets. BSPCA depends solely on foster homes. Our fosters are extremely valuable and appreciated! We are limited in the number of animals we can rescue by the number of foster homes available to place them.
This is where you can help. The more foster homes we have, the more animals we can rescue. By providing a dog/cat a temporary home, you have saved a life. Being a foster is not easy, but very rewarding. You must understand that some of the dogs/cats rescued will need to be housebroken and will have separation anxiety issues, trust issues, and will need socialization. Depending on the dog/cat it may take several days, weeks, or months for it to find its forever home.
BSPCA will provide food and veterinary care for the dog/cat while you provide a loving, friendly, comfortable, and INDOOR environment for your foster pet.
If you are interested and serious about fostering, you can download a foster application/contract clicking on the link below and email it to firstname.lastname@example.org. Once we receive your application, a BSPCA member will review it and contact you to set up a home visit. A home visit is required to make sure that the dog/cat will be in a friendly, safe, clean environment. If you already have pets of your own they must be up to date with their vaccinations and spay/neutered.
